What is Instrument Hire?
Hampshire Music Service has a large inventory of instruments which are available for hire to pupils and to schools.
Who is it for?
Pupils and schools are able to hire directly from Hampshire Music Service.
What does HMS provide?
Instrument Hire is available for the following instruments:
(some of these may be available for bulk hire to schools on a short-term loan basis).

How long does it last?
Instruments must be returned when you:
- have reached the maximum hire period of two years (unless we have agreed to extend it)
- have ended lessons provided by us and/or are no longer a member of one of our ensembles or specialist centres
- need to swap to a different sized instrument
How much does it cost?
For HMS pupils and schools the cost is £41 per term, or £30.50 for keyboards, drum machines and guitars.
For non-HMS pupils and schools, the cost is £56 per term, or £45 for keyboards, drum machines and guitars.
